FIFA World Cup 2022: Top Five Celebrations of the tournament so far
FIFA World Cup has seen some iconic celebrations.
The FIFA World Cup is known as much for its celebrations as it does for the goals or the victories. Be it Andres Iniesta’s “Dani Jarque, always with us” reveal at the 2010 World Cup final or Siphiwe Tshabalala’s Macarena dance or Diego Maradona’s fiery celebration in 1994, all of these are etched into the history books for the purity of joy it brought.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 has also seen some memorable celebrations in Qatar. Let’s look at five of the best ones so far.
Brazil coach Tite against South Korea
Brazil’s coach Tite was seen dancing with the players after Richarlison scored a beautifully curated team goal in the 30th minute against South Korea. Brazil won this match by 4-1 and later qualified for the quarterfinals. Tite however was later criticised for dancing and disrespecting the opposition.

Osman Bukari does Cristiano Ronaldo’s Siu vs Portugal
To play against one of your idols is a very rare feat in any sport but that is what Ghana’s Osman Bukari managed to achieve. The 24-year-old got one back for Ghana who were lagging 3-1 against Portugal in a do-or-die match. After scoring, however, the Ghana attacker ran to the corner flag and recreated Cristiano Ronaldo’s Siu celebration much to the dismay of the Portuguese superstar.

Lionel Messi’s ‘revengful’ celebration against Netherlands
The Netherlands quarterfinal match against Argentina was a fiery contest between two quality teams. The Netherlands came back from two goals down to level the match and take it into extra time. With both teams playing some defensive football, the match went onto penalty.
Netherlands and Argentina players also had a scuffle in the game which boiled over after Argentina’s win in the penalty shoot-out. Messi who is often reserved was seen cupping his years in front of the Netherlands dugout- a celebration that is certain to go down in history as one of the most satisfactory.
