FC Barcelona set to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich for €45 million: Reports
Lewandowski has scored 344 goals for Bayern Munich.
Robert Lewandowski is among the two best number-nines in the world at the moment, the other being Karim Benzema. Naturally, when he publicly revealed his desire to play for another club, many flocked to Germany for his signature. Teams like Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United and other were linked to the Polish striker but it looks like his next season will be at Camp Nou in Spain.
Reports have emerged that the Bayern Munich striker is all set to sign a €45million deal with the Spanish giants Barcelona. The 33-year-old is set to fly to Miami and join the Barcelona team who are on a tour to the US.
The news was first broken by the Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano. Barcelona have been chasing the Bayern striker for more than a month now but were lowballing the German club when it came to the striker’s price. Lewandowski however had made up his mind and eventually got his way.

The Catalan club’s president Joan Laporta said last week that Barcelona were waiting for a response from the German club for Lewandowski’s transfer offer. Barcelona who enjoyed great success a few years ago with Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola at the helm have been stung by financial constraints and had to let go of the legendary Argentinian.
Their recent transfer offers have been quite shrewd in terms of the money offered. So far the Catalan club has announced Andres Christensen, Raphinha and Franck Kessie from Chelsea, Leeds United and AC Milan respectively. They were also chasing Cesar Azpilicueta, Lewandowski and many others for this whole transfer season.
Barcelona are also looking to clear out some deadwood as well. The likes of Martin Braithwaite, Oscar Mingueza, Samuel Umtiti, Riqui Puig and Neto have been left out of the squad for the US tour. Meanwhile, Frankie de Jong is also linked to Manchester United in a rumour that the Catalan club looks to go through with.
Robert Lewandowski has scored 344 goals in 375 games for Bayern Munich of which 98 were scored in the last two seasons.
