Bangladesh vs India 2022
Ex-India batter feels Zing Bails are a joke, passes verdict on Shreyas Iyer incident against Bangladesh
When Shreyas Iyer was batting on 77, he received a significant lifeline.
Aakash Chopra, a former batter, was upset when Zing Bail’s controversy broke out during the first Test match between India and Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. At the end of the day, Ebadot Hossain bowled a back-of-a-length delivery, and while facing it, Shreyas Iyer encountered a difficult challenge.
The stumps were hit by the ball, but the bails stood their ground. When Iyer was batting on 77, he received a significant lifeline. He went on to play an innings of 86 runs in 192 balls with 10 boundaries.
Chopra didn’t hold back and stated that the batter should be ruled out if the ball hits the stumps and the bails light up. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Zing Bails are a bit of a joke… Honestly…if it lights up, it should be OUT.”

Shreyas Iyer also received a lucky break after Ebadot missed a straightforward catch off of Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the deep. Shreyas Iyer attempted to time the ball correctly to clear deep mid-wicket, but he failed. Despite being in a good position to catch the ball, Ebadot was unable to do so.
