Emirates D20 2022: Match 21, 22 & 23 – Review
The Emirates D20 League 2022 has been hugely successful so far with many competitive games in the mix. The tournament has moved into the second stage and the fight for the semi-final spots is getting intense. Teams are now looking to win their games and secure a berth in the Semi finals.
Let’s look at how the matches on 23rd June 2022 fared.
Match 21: Ajman vs Sharjah
Ajman and Sharjah fought in the 21st match of the tournament in a bid to move towards the top. Ajman were able to beat the Sharjah team by a huge 67 runs. Asked to bat first, the Ajman team was able to score a huge 212/4 in 20 overs. All the batters were able to chip in with the bat with the lowest individual score being 21 runs. While chasing this huge total, the Sharjah team faltered and could only muster 145/7.

Match 22: Emirates Blues vs Abu Dhabi
In the second match on 23rd June, Emirates Blues clashed with Abu Dhabi. After winning the toss, Abu Dhabi decided to field first. While batting first, Emirates Blue were able to only make 127/7. Great bowling from the Abu Dhabi side saw the Emirates Blues falter from the word go. In reply, the Abu Dhabi team were able to get to the target in just 18 overs.

Match 23: Fujairah vs Dubai
The last match of June 23rd saw table-toppers Fujairah and bottom team Dubai pit against each other. As expected, the Fujairah team were able to dismantle Dubai with high-quality all-around performance. After winning the toss, the Fujairah team decided to bat first and scored a humongous score of 226/1. All three Fujairah batters were able to make a half-century scores with the captain Muhammad Waseem (75 off 43), leading from the front.
In reply, Dubai could only manage 152/9 and lost the game by a huge 74 runs.
