Dream Girl 2 movie review- Ayushmann Khurrana starrer is a massive ‘Entertainer’

Dream Girl 2 is a joyride whose only purpose is to amuse. Contains everything: witty one-liners, expertly constructed scenarios, well timed gags, and plenty of comedy. An excellent continuation from the first super hit part!

The opening scene of Dream Girl 2 is Karam playing at a neighbourhood Jagrata night. We quickly learn about his stunning girlfriend Pari, and her stern lawyer father. The lavish mansion Karam and his father call home is Khaandaani, and is on the verge of bankruptcy. As Pari’s father visits Karam’s home to arrange their wedding, chaos ensues as a couple of bank representatives show up to seal their home because they can’t afford to repay a sizable loan.

It’s not easy to write and execute a humorous caper. On occasion, what appears flawless on paper doesn’t always transition magically onto the screen. Additionally, jokes can fall flat and come off as being overly manufactured. But happily, neither of these descriptions applies to Dream Girl 2.

Dream Girl 2 movie analysis:

The same is credited to the writers Naresh Kathooria and Raaj Shaandilya, who is also the director. The dialogue is full of jokes, some clever and others ridiculous, but they all make you laugh. Particularly in the first half, there are many bizarre events that could make you wonder why you choose to put yourself through them. Eventually, though, you learn to let go and get immersed in Raaj’s universe.

Dream Girl 2 is raucous and jarring in every way. Although there are too many characters, you won’t care. Just that the second half of the movie feels a little bit dragged out at 133 minutes. But Raaj and his cast make sure that additional one-liners, repartees, and wilder subplots are tossed at you every time you wonder how long the movie is. The wife’s wig falls off in a moment when Abhishek Banerjee’s Mohammed Shahrukh tries to woo her. Pooja screams, “Hairfall, hairfall!” in response. It’s still one of the movie’s funniest moments!

One of the movie’s weaker points may be Karam and Pari’s lack of chemistry in the midst of these rapports. Ananya Panday has a pretty uninteresting character arc and little to do with the narrative. She does well every time she is on film, though. The remaining cast members—Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi, and Asrani—support Ayushmann admirably and contribute to the production of a hit movie.

Chaos is Dream Girl 2’s biggest asset and it has it written all over it. Dream Girl 2 is just the kind of light entertainment you need on occasion to relax and giggle till your stomach hurts. This Ayushmann-starring film is well worth seeing.
