Dominance of team India- fans pleased as India win rain-affected first T20I against Ireland by 7 wickets

The Indian White ball team is on a tour to Ireland while the red ball team practices for the upcoming Test match against England. All eyes were set on Hardik Pandya and his debut as a captain on the international stage.

With Umran Malik itching for a start, the rain came in to spoil the moods of all. But the rain gods soon showed mercy and a game of 12 overs was allowed. After coming on to bat first, Ireland got to a poor start with opener Andrew Balbirnie going for a duck. Wickets continued to fall until Harry Tector came on the crease and made a brilliant 64 off of 33 with six boundaries and three sixes. The Ireland team got to a 108/4 at the end.

Coming on to chase, Ishan Kishan set off from the word get-go. Hitting at a strike rate of 236, the southpaw made 26 before departing. Deepak Hooda (47 off 29) and Hardik Pandya (24 off 12) took India all the way before the captain had to go. The returned Suryakumar Yadav had a bad day at the office being LBW on the first ball itself. It was again Dinesh Karthik who took India across the finishing line.
