Bangalore have been simply sensational in the Indian T20 league 2022 so far. They managed to beat Delhi by 16 runs in the 27th game of this edition. This convincing victory has enabled them to get to eight points. This is their fourth victory of this season.

Things seem to be going out of hand for Delhi as they stumbled to their third loss. They have only won two out of their first five games in the 2022 edition. As far as the game on Saturday is concerned, Delhi won the toss and chose to bowl first. Bangalore’s openers displayed an underwhelming performance as Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat had to return to the pavilion without creating much of an impact in the game.

Virat Kohli had to depart for 12. However, Glenn Maxwell played a counter-attacking knock as he got to a 34-ball 55. Yet, it was Dinesh Karthik who stole the show once again. He seems invincible at the moment. Delhi’s bowlers had no answers for him as he took them to the cleaners.

The keeper-batter continued his good form as he scored an unbeaten 66 from just 34 balls. His knock included five fours and five sixes. Shahbaz Ahmed played a handy cameo as he scored a 21-ball 32. Thus, the Bangalore-based franchise got to a superb score of 189-5 in the first innings.

The second innings saw the Delhi-based franchise get to an explosive start. Prithvi Shaw was dismissed for 16 off 13 balls. After which, the fans witnessed two contrasting knocks. While David Warner scored a sensational 66 from just 38 balls, Mitchell Marsh struggled to get going.

After playing 24 balls, he was only able to score 14 before he was run out in the 14th over. Post which, Delhi had a batting collapse. Thus, they fell short of their target by 16 runs. Josh Hazlewood was the pick of the bowlers as he took three wickets in his four overs, while giving away just 28 runs.
