Delhi Bulls defeated Maratha Arabians by 4 wickets to win the inaugural Ajman T20 Cup. Winning the toss, Delhi Bulls opted to field first. The Maratha Arabians had a slow start and kept losing the wickets. They lost three wickets within the powerplay and lost their next wicket in the 9th over. Tanvir Junaid (16) and Mohammad Afzal (35) had a small partnership that kept the hopes alive for the Arabians.

However, that too did not translate well for the team. The two could only add 57 runs in 7.2 overs for the team. Shahanawaz Khan also added a few runs to the total but at a very slow pace. He scored 33 runs in 35 balls. Umer Farook (16) and Zeeshan Abid (18) played small cameos to take the total to 142 at the end of the first innings.

Zawar Farid from the Delhi team picked 3 wickets in the innings, dismissing Muhammad Afzal, Umer Farooq, and Zeeshan Abid. All three looked in good touch to take the team in a better position. Zahid Ali and Umai Ali also took two wickets each. Sultan Ahmed took a single wicket in his spell.

While chasing the target, the Bulls also lost two early wickets at a score of just 15. Zawar Farid then took on the responsibility and kept the scoreboard ticking. The Bulls once again lost the track of the chase as they lost consecutive wickets in the middle overs. However, the partnership between Farid and Syed Haider (32) kept their chances alive. They added 65 runs in seven overs before Haider was cleaned up by Umer Farooq. Farook took a total of three wickets in the match at an economy of just 7.25 runs per over. Harry Bharwal took two wickets and Saqib Manshad took a single wicket.

Farid continued his innings and stayed not out on 72 in 63 balls, hitting seven boundaries and a six. He guided his team to a win in the final and won the man of the match.
