Having completed eight seasons successfully, the Pro Kabaddi League Season Nine is right on the cards.
Mashal Sports, the organisers of the Pro Kabaddi League, have formally announced the dates for the player auction. The player auction for the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League will take place on the 5th and 6th of August in Mumbai.
All Kabaddi players (Domestic, overseas and New Young Players) taking part in the auction will be divided into four groups namely Group A (30 Lakh), Group B (20 Lakh), Group C (10 Lakh) and Group D (6 Lakhs).
The total Salary Purse available to each Kabaddi franchise has been capped at Rs 4.4 Crore for Season nine. The player pool has now increased to more than 500 players. 24 players from the top two teams of Khelo India University Games 2021, Bangalore have also been added to the pool.

PKL Season nine will be organised in liaison with our stakeholders and associates in the national kabaddi ecosystem under AKFL” said the CEO of Sports League, Disney Star India and League commissioner, Mr Anupam Goswami.

Some of our kabaddi players have caught the attention of fans throughout eight seasons and they are ready to up the ante in season nine. Numerous talented players have emerged over the years and I look forward to seeing some new talents being given opportunities in this Player Auction.”
Patna Pirates have won the tournament thrice with U Mumba, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Bengaluru Bulls, Bengal Warriors and Debang Delhi winning the Pro Kabaddi League on one occasion.
