After a much-anticipated wait, season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League is all to begin today on 7th October 2022. Defending champions, Dabang Delhi will take on season 2 winner U Mumba in the opening match of the season. Much to the delight of everyone, the fans will be allowed to enter inside the stadium after a long wait due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ahead of a highly anticipated encounter, the fans would be looking to watch how some of the star players from both teams perform on the mat. There is no denying that Naveen Kumar Goyat is one of the best raiders in Pro Kabaddi league. He led Delhi’s side by example in the last season, giving the team an outstanding start. Besides, he also became the fastest player to reach 600 points in the history of the sport. In 17 matches, he earned 207 raid points last year. Naveen Kumar’s rise in the PKL has been heartening to see. He will be on the players to watch out for this season.
2. Guman Singh

Guman Singh became U Mumbai’s most expensive player after he was bought for a whopping amount of 1.215 crores at the auction. Making his debut for Patna Pirates, Singh earned a total of 97 points last season in 19 matches. He made 200 raids and earned 95 raid points with a 38 percent successful raid percentage.
3. Surinder Singh

Defender Surinder Singh will be leading the U Mumba side in the upcoming edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. He will shoulder most of the responsibility on the defensive front. Singh has a great record in the Pro Kabaddi League. He has 518 tackles points to his name in his PKL career, making 197 successful raids. He has made 8 super tackles so far.
