Chennai woman sketches MS Dhoni’s potrait after a heart transplant surgery, gets appreciation from ‘Captain Cool’
The fandom of cricket and its players in India is unmatched by any other country in the world. The fans of the game leave no stone unturned to express their love for their favourite stars of the game. Recently, a fan won hearts for her heartwarming gesture for the former Indian captain MS Dhoni.
A 35-year-old woman from Chennai who underwent a heart transplant surgery sketched the picture of Chennai Franchise captain MS Dhoni upon recovery. The woman underwent her surgery in Chennai, and subsequently made a sketch of Dhoni. The sketch was presented to Dhoni, later. The Chennai franchise took to Twitter and shared the news with Dhoni’s fans. The ‘Captain Cool’ himself reacted to the woman’s kind gesture and hailed it as a noble act.
“Organ Donation is a very noble act, and it can save lives. Though it is very unfortunate to lose a loved one, donating their organs can help save nearly eight lives, thus giving a second life for many. I extend my gratitude to the donor family who agreed for this noble act,” said Dhoni.

“It is also very heart-touching to receive the portrait sketch from someone who is now living her second life, and this has been made possible by the successful heart transplant performed by team of doctors,” Dhoni stated further.
MS Dhoni to retire from all forms of cricket in 2023?
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni will be seen in action in the next year’s Indian T20 League. Ever since his retirement from international cricket, fans have been speculating about his retirement from franchise cricket as well. Dhoni had previously stated in an interview that he would want to play his last game for Chennai in their home ground M. Chidambaram stadium.
The former Indian Cricket Board President Sourav Ganguly recently stated that the Indian T20 League will be once again played in the home and away format. Ever since this announcement, the speculations around Dhoni’s retirement have once again sprung up. It will be interesting to see whether it will be the last edition of the Indian T20 League for Dhoni or not. The Chennai franchise will give their all in the field to give their captain a winning send-off from the tournament.
