Causes of Shane Warne’s death revealed in autopsy report

On March 7, an autopsy report confirmed that former Australia leg-spinner Shane Warne died due to natural causes. The death of Warne on March 4 sent shockwaves in the world as he was just 52 years. Also, not to forget he had recently done a commentary stint for Australia vs Sri Lanka T20I series. However, the Thai police had confirmed that the deceased had visited a doctor for chest pains.

The family of the former leg-spinner also informed the police that he had a history of asthma and heart disease. The 1999 World Cup winner was a heavy smoker and was treated for COVID19 once. Notably, the bloodstains found in his room had created panic but the police confirmed that Warne coughed blood while being given CPR.

Meanwhile, the autopsy report has confirmed that the 2008 Indian T20 league-winning skipper died naturally and the report will be summarized soon.

“Today investigators received the autopsy result, in which the medical opinion is that the cause of death is natural,” Kissana Phathanacharoen said in a statement.

“Investigators will summarize the autopsy result for prosecutors within the timeframe of the law.”

Friend of Warne and chief executive of The Sporting News, Tom Hall had said that there are nothing suspicious about Warne’s death. Hall was staying with deceased in Thailand. Hall also said that Warne was jolly while watching Pakistan vs Australia Test match on TV.

Meanwhile, the Victorian State Government has announced that the Great Southern Stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will be renamed with S.K Warne’s name.
