Team India celebrated Holi ahead of BGT Test 3

On Tuesday, March 7, members of Team India painted their team bus in the hues of Holi as the team that, included the captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer engaged in a wild game of Holi. Gill posted a video of himself and his teammates having fun on Instagram, in which Rohit paints Kohli inside the team bus.

Putting any rumours of a disagreement between them to rest during the festival of colours, Rohit and Kohli were completely out of control. Ishan Kishan, a young wicketkeeper-batsman for India, also tweeted a funny video of Indian players celebrating Holi while decked out in colourful attire.

Skipper Rohit had already extended his fans his best wishes for Holi. He tweeted, ‘”A day of colours, joy, food, and fun with friends and family. Jam ke holi khelo but thoda sambhalke & stray animals ko bachake.” India star batter Suryakumar Yadav celebrated Holi with his wife in the meantime. Posting the celebratory photos, Surya wished everyone a happy and prosperous day. Importantly, the fourth BGT Test between India and Australia will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), Team India is currently playing Australia. They lead the series by 2-1 after they got down against the Aussies in the third Test at Holkar Stadium in Indore. India will attempt to recover in the fourth Test in order to win the series and secure a place in the Test Championship finals.

On the other side, Australia, captained by Steve Smith, would aim to maintain their superiority over India in order to tie the series. In the absence of full-time skipper Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc will have to head the bowling department of the visitors. The visitors will also want their middle-order hitters to fire against the Indian spin combination of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel.
