Rajasthan opening batter Jos Buttler hit his second hundred in the ongoing Indian T20 League. Earlier, he got his first hundred of the season against Mumbai. The innings helped his side win the game comprehensively. In the ongoing game between Rajasthan and Kolkata, the right-hander wreaked havoc and scored 103 in 61 balls.

Buttler was in full swing from ball one and helped the team reach 60/0 at the end of powerplay.  Devdutt Padikkal (24), on the other hand, played the second fiddle. The opening partnership ended with the wicket of Padikkal, who was clean bowled by Sunil Narine. The scorecard read 97/1 in 9.4 overs at that stage. The Taunton-born player was joined by his skipper Sanju Samson and both added another 67 runs for the team.

During the partnership, Buttler kept punishing the Men In Purple as he reached 90 off 55 balls at the end of 15 overs. On the other hand, Samson hit 38 off 19 balls including three fours and two sixes. Samson was caught by Shivam Mavi off Andre Russell. The scorecard read 164/2 in 15.2 overs at the time. On the other hand, Buttler completed his century with a six against Pat Cummins in the next over.

In the same over, Cummins ended Buttler’s innings as the latter was caught by Varun Chakravarthy. Talking about Buttlers’ innings, he hit 103 off 61 balls including nine fours and five sixes. His innings helped his side reach a total of 217/5 in 20 overs. With this innings, Buttler has entered the list of overseas players who have hit two centuries in an Indian T20 League season. The list consists of Chris Gayle (2011), Hashim Amla (2017), Shane Watson (2018).

In reply, the two-time winners had a poor start as Narine was run-out by Shimron Hetmyer on the first ball of the innings. However, at the time of writing, the team has reached 144/2 in 12..3 overs, needing further 74 runs to win in 46 balls.
