Twitter woke up to a video where Indian young cricketer Shubman Gill could be seen on a dinner date with Sara Ali Khan and all hell broke loose!
The 22-year-old was earlier rumoured to be in a relationship with Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar but the recent video has sent the internet buzzing about what could be the next high-profile couple in town after Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
Sara Ali Khan is a young Indian actress and also the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Having made her acting debut in the movie Kedarnath, alongside the late Sushant Singh Rajput, she went on to work in many movies such as Atrangi Re, Love Aaj Kal, Simmba, Coolie No 1, and others.
She was earlier rumoured to be in a relationship with Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan, something that was confirmed by Karan Johar on Koffee with Karan as well.
Shubman Gill, meanwhile, is an Indian cricketer currently on the verge of making his name in the cricketing world. He has now become a regular player for the national side on the back of impressive performances, not just in international cricket, but also in the Indian T20 League.
The Punjab-born batter has played 11 Tests for India scoring 579 runs at an average of 30.47. His ODI record is even more impressive as he has amassed 499 runs in just nine matches for the country. His sensational average of 71.28 overshadows that of even the best of players.
Earlier this year, Gill helped the Gujarat team clinch their first Indian T20 League trophy in their first year itself. In the 74 matches played so far, the right-hand batter has scored 1900 runs at an average of 32.20 and with a strike rate of 125.5.
