Check out these Hollywood movies with amazing aerial stunts, including some from Tom Cruise’s Top Gun series, before ‘Fighter‘ hits theatres. On Thursday, the day before Republic Day, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan’s first joint film, Fighter, was released globally. ‘Fighter‘, directed by Siddharth Anand, who also directed the popular Shah Rukh Khan film ‘Pathaan‘ last year, is about the Air Dragons, an elite Indian Air Force (IAF) unit.
Along with other Air Dragons members, Squadron Leaders Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone), and Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh (Anil Kapoor) are prepared to sacrifice everything for the country despite experiencing highs and lows in their internal and external conflicts. A preview of the film’s aerial combat was shown in the ‘Fighter’ trailer. In fact, It’s being marketed as India’s first aerial action movie.

5. Pearl Harbor (2001):
Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, Josh Hartnett, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tom Sizemore, Jon Voight, Colm Feore, and Alec Baldwin are among the cast members of Michael Bay’s American war film. A love story set against the backdrop of the attack, its aftermath, and the Doolittle Raid is the main focus of this highly fictionalised portrayal of the Japanese forces’ attack on Pearl Harbour on December 7, 1941.
4. Top Gun (1986):
Under Tony Scott’s direction, Tom Cruise plays a young naval aviator named Pete “Maverick” Mitchell who serves on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. At Naval Air Station Miramar in San Diego, he and his radar intercept officer, Lieutenant (junior grade) Nick “Goose” Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards), are offered the opportunity to train at the US Navy’s Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun). In supporting parts are Val Kilmer, Tom Skerritt, and Kelly McGillis.
3. Top Gun: Maverick (2022):
The movie, which was directed by Joseph Kosinski, is a follow-up to the 1986 picture Top Gun. Tom Cruise is back in the lead role as Maverick, the naval aviator. The characters from the original movie serve as the basis for ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. In the narrative, Maverick faces his history while preparing a group of younger Top Gun grads, one of whom is the son of his late best friend, for a perilous mission.

The 2015 book ‘Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice’ by Adam Makos, which recounts the camaraderie between naval officers Jesse Brown and Tom Hudner during the Korean War, serves as the basis for the biographical war movie. Jonathan Majors plays Jesse Brown, and Glen Powell plays Tom Hudner. Daren Kagasoff, Joe Jonas, Nick Hargrove, Spencer Neville, and Thomas Sadoski play supporting roles. JD Dillard is the film’s director.
1. Dunkirk (2017):
The Dunkirk evacuation of World War II is portrayed in Christopher Nolan’s epic historical war thriller, which he also directed. Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles (in his film debut), Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy are among the ensemble cast members of Dunkirk.
