Since the 20-20 World Cup semis between Pakistan and New Zealand, Irfan Pathan isn’t enjoying Pakistani fans’ company. According to the cryptic tweet he posted, he accused them of ‘not being Graceful’ after the win. “Padosiyon jeet ati jaati rehti hai, lekin GRACE apke bas ki baat nahi hai,” Irfan wrote on Twitter.
After this, received a lot of flak from Pakistan fans and he said that the tweet was not for any player. The next day when India lost to England in the second semis, current Pakistan PM, Shahbaz Sharif took a dig at the Men In Blue. His tweet read “So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0 #T20WorldCup.” For context, 152/0 was the score of the Babar Azam-led team at the end of their game against India in the 20-20 World Cup 2021.
On the other hand, 170/0 was England’s score after winning the semis of the 2022 edition against India. Pathan had slammed Sharif with an equally explosive tweet,”Aap mein or hum mein fark yehi hai. Hum apni khushi se khush or aap dusre ke taklif se. Is liye khud ke mulk ko behtar karne pe dhyan nahi hai (This is the difference between you and us. We are happy with ourselves, you look for happiness when others are in trouble. That is why you are not concentrating on your country’s well-being).”
Meanwhile, since then, the Pakistan fans and Pathan aren’t been looking eye to eye with each other. Now, he decided to take a dig at former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Apparently, the latter was shot during a political rally last month. This incident created chaos across Pakistan.
