English footballer Harry Kane is reportedly in talks to replace Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich. Alongside Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo is also one of the favourites to replace Lewandowski at Munich. The club Chief Olivier Kahn has expressed his interest in Kane as Bayern are desperately looking for a centre-forward with just three make-shift forwards available for Bayern Munich.

The reigning champions of the Bundesliga are in the market for a new-centre forward after allowing the 33-year-old Lewandowski to join Barcelona for 42.5 million. Bayern are confident of bringing Kane into their team and now the club chief Olivier Kahn has also confirmed about their interest in the English footballer.

He told Bild: “He is under contract with Tottenham. Sure, an absolute top striker, but that’s all a dream of the future. Now we have to look at getting the squad together for the current season. So let’s see what else happens.”

Kane will have just one year left on his deal at Spurs after this season. Bayern could look to bring in an interim striker for the upcoming campaign before pressing ahead with a move for Kane in 2023.

Kane has been quite vocal about his desire to win trophies, and if Spurs fail to claim a title next season, he could once again push for an exit.

Kane confirmed in June that he will snub a transfer away after his side secures Champions League football. The former Leicester loanee got on the score sheet in Saturday’s pre-season draw against Sevilla.

Manchester City were desperate to land the player last summer, but Daniel Levy demanded a whopping £150million. After failing to force through a move, Kane confirmed he was to stay, with the Citizens subsequently turning their attention to Erling Haaland who they landed this summer.

Kane also won the ‘golden boot’ for scoring maximum goals in the 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup in Russia. The English captain will be once again in the spotlight for the grand event this year.
