India vs West Indies

‘Bach gya, review bach gya’ -Team India’s hilarious chat during DRS goes viral

After India whitewashed West Indies in the three-match ODI series rather comfortably, the first of the three-match T20I series saw a close contest between the two sides. However, it was the hosts who emerged victorious once again. They managed to beat the Pollard-led side by six wickets on Wednesday.

However, during the game, there were several entertaining moments. One such moment was during the seventh over of the first innings, when Ravi Bishnoi was bowling. This hilarious incident featured India’s limited-overs skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

During the fifth ball of the over, the leggie bowled a delivery to the leg side, and the ball brushed Roston Chase’s pad and went into the hands of Rishabh Pant. While the Indian fielders appealed for a caught behind, the umpire gave it a wide. Sharma was furious with this decision. He felt that it wasn’t wide. The stump mic even caught him disagreeing with the umpire.

“Yeh wide kidhar de rha hai yaar,” said Rohit Sharma. However, the opener then consulted Kohli, who insisted that he heard two noises and assured Sharma that they have two reviews available. Although the “Hitman” went for the review, the umpire said that it wouldn’t be counted as of now.

As there was an umpire review for a stumping, India’s review wasn’t counted. However, it wasn’t a wicket as Chase had his foot grounded. Besides, his foot was behind the line and the ball had hit his pads. The decision of a wide was also revoked.

“Bach gya, review bach gya,” Rohit Sharma was heard saying. He was seen sharing a laugh with Pant as well. At the end, the 29-year-old Windies batter was finally dismissed for 4 off 10 delivered. It was Bishnoi who managed to trap him in the second ball of the 10th over.
