Babar Azam distributes iftaar on the street of his hometown; video goes viral

Published on

Babar Azam is regarded as one of the best batsmen in modern-day cricket. There aren’t a lot of cricketers who play a cover drive as good as him. Since making his debut in 2015, Babar Azam’s career graph has only moved upwards.

He is currently leading the Pakistan Cricket Team in all formats of the game. Under his leadership, Pakistan played admirably in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They remained unbeaten in the league stage but, unfortunately, couldn’t reach the finals.

Babar Azam, however, had a forgettable campaign in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League. Under his leadership, Karachi Kings finished at the bottom of the points table. He recently led the side in an all-format series against Australia. Pakistan lost the Test series by a 1-0 margin but beat Australia in the ODIs by a margin of 2-1.

Babar Azam was brilliant with the bat throughout the series. He was the second-highest run-getter for the side in the Tests series and also in the ODIs as well. In the only T20 international played between the two teams, Babar Azam played a stellar knock of 66 runs in 46 balls but he didn’t receive a lot of support from the other end. Pakistan, eventually, lost that game by 3 wickets.

After doing his international duties, Babar Azam recently reached his hometown after a long time. In the holy month of Ramadan, the Pakistan skipper along with Shadab Khan was recently seen distributing iftaar near Babar Azam’s hometown in Lahore.

A video of the duo distributing iftaar is doing rounds on social media. The video was uploaded on Thursday and it didn’t take a lot of time to get viral. The fans of the Pakistan skipper loved the video and left them in awe. You can see the video here:
