ODI World Cup 2023
Australian WC winning batter Travis Head faces abuse related to family
Glenn Maxwell and his wife were also recieving vile threats on Instagram.
One of the best knocks in the history of the ODI World Cup was witnessed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During the finals on Sunday, Australia defeated India by six wickets thanks to a brilliant century from Travis Head. The nation from Down Under was able to lift their sixth ODI Cricket World Cup
India had set a chase of 241 runs for Australia, after a exceptional bowling display. Furthermore, the hosts took three wickets for just 47 runs, bringing some intensity to the match. The match then turned out to be one-sided, though. This is because Head stood like a wall and vigorously counterattacked to score a 120-ball 137.
Some Indian fans were offended by the southpaw’s valiant actions, and they attacked him in the Instagram post’s comments section. In the comments area, some even went so far as to abuse Head’s wife as well as one-year-old daughter.
These kinds of illogical incidents have also happened a few times in the past. Sadly, some people find it difficult to accept defeat and turn to inappropriate ways to let out their anger.

The all-rounder’s wife took to Instagram to show her disappointment with the fans.

BUT you can be Indian and also support the country of your birth where you have been raised and more importantly the team your husband + father of your child plays in #nobrainer. take a chill pill and direct that outrage towards more important world issues.”
