Australian Star set to play in Indian T20 League 2022

Bangalore has been suffering from death bowling owes from the inaugural season of the Indian T20 League. They bought the Australian death over specialist Jason Behrendorff for a price of INR 75 lakhs ahead of the Indian T20 League 2022. In a recent post on his Instagram story, the pacer has confirmed that he is coming to India to be a part of the tournament.

However, it is his traveling partner who has grabbed the attention of the fans. Marnus Labuschagne was seen traveling with Behrendorff. The post has given rise to speculations that Labuschagne is coming to India to be an active part of the 15th edition of the Indian T20 League. However, there has been no confirmation regarding his playing for any team, but there is a rumor that Labuschagne has been offered a deal as a replacement for an injured or unavailable player.

Labuschagne has earlier revealed his desire to play for three franchises in the tournament. He Tweeted the same on 4th February 2022, which read– “Over the years I’ve always loved watching Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai.”

Whether his wish to play for his desired team is fulfilled or not will be revealed with time.

Marnus Labuschagne has played 26 matches in his T20 career, in which he has scored 668 runs at an average of 29.04 and a strike rate of 126.75. However, his performances in the longer formats of the game speak of his resilience and determination. His inclusion could be valuable for any team in the Indian T20 League
