Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni may go through some tests related to a knee injury. During the IPL 2023, he played the entire season carrying the injury. Not to forget, after CSK played their last home game in the league, Dhoni was seen stapped his knee with an ice pack. It helped him relieve the pain after the games.

Meanwhile, after the Yellow Brigade won the title on May 30 at midnight, it is now understood that the former India skipper might attend to his knee issue. As reported by Revsports, the Ranchi-born is set to be admitted to the Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai this week. During the tournament, CSK head coach, Stephen Fleming also mentioned Dhoni’s knee injury

“He (Dhoni) is nursing a knee injury, which you can see in some of his movement, hindering him somewhat. His fitness has been professional. He comes in months before the tournament starts. He does some nets in Ranchi, but his main pre-season is a month before he comes to Chennai,” Fleming told reporters at the post-match press conference after one of the CSK games.

MS Dhoni might return for IPL 2024

Meanwhile, after winning the final against Gujarat Titans, the three-time World Championship-winning skipper for India mentioned that he might return for IPL 2024. However, he added that it all depends on his fitness.

“Circumstantially if you see this is the best time for me to announce retirement. But the amount of love and affection that I have been shown, wherever I have been this year…I think the easy thing for me to say would be to say ‘Thank you very much’, but the tough thing for me would to work hard for nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body” said MS Dhoni promising to come back next year.

Meanwhile, the fans aren’t happy as Dhoni is going through a tough injury.
