Asian Games 2023 updated Medals Tally for October 3: China nears 300-Medal mark
Team India have accumulated a total of 69 Medals that include 15 Golds as of Oct 3.
India’s impressive performance at the Asian Games has seen its medals tally rise to a total of 69 medals, with an additional six medals secured in the track and field events. This places India in the fourth position in the overall medal standings, boasting 15 gold medals, 26 silver medals, and 28 bronze medals.
In the men’s canoe double 1000m event, India was represented by Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh Salam, who delivered a commendable performance, earning a well-deserved bronze medal with a finishing time of 3:53.329. It’s important to note that Uzbekistan secured the gold medal with a remarkable time of 3:43.796, while Kazakhstan claimed the silver medal with a time of 3:49.991, making them the top two finishers in this competitive event.
In another exciting development, Preeti, a talented Indian boxer, displayed her prowess by clinching a bronze medal in the women’s 54kg category. Despite a tough battle, Preeti secured the bronze after facing defeat against China’s formidable opponent, Yuan Chang, in the semifinal match.

Another important update remained India’s qualification for the semifinal of the men’s cricket event. The Men in Blue defeated Nepal in a thrilling quarterfinal, almost surviving a scare. This guarantees at least one more medal. Expectations would be that the cricket team led by Ruturaj Gaikwad will end up clinching the gold. More so after their female teammates have pulled off the remarkable feat.
