Apex Legends players not happy with Final Fantasy collab prices
The Apex Legends x Final Fantasy 7 collaboration event coming tomorrow and the cosmetic prices have left fans disappointed. As per calculations done by gamers, players will possibly need to cough up over $300 to get all items without grinding.
There are 36 cosmetic items with 1% Mythic, 5% Iconic, 20% Legendary, and 75% Rare drop chance from a single loot box. This time around, the event heirloom is also present inside the packs and could be obtained cheaper as compared to previous events.

However, while it is possible to get the best items early on, players will need to be lucky. The Final Fantasy-themed death box will be available after a player unlocks all 36 cosmetics, which sounds great until you realize each pack is reportedly worth 1000 Apex coins.
Players are assuming, that since Final Fantasy is a big IP, EA have decided to increase the pack price. Whatever the case may be, players will have to fork $10 to buy a single pack. While there will be a discount, players are not sure if it’s worth making use of. Furthermore, the discounts also run for a limited time.
What do gamers have to say?
As expected, the change and the event seem to be already facing backlash from the community. Many believe that EA is getting greedy, while others are simply refusing to take part in the event.
To be fair, EA in the last few years have made very questionable decisions. Furthermore, the company once known to release super hit games is currently watching from the sidelines and struggling to do a proper release.
Apart from F1 23 and the Dead Space remake last year, the company have yet to release a proper AAA title to make a comeback in the gaming market.
