Breaking! Dates for Abu Dhabi T10 League announced
20-20 cricket brought a revolution into the game and created an entertainment industry never seen before. Now many are experimenting with the short format of the game with the Abu Dhabi T10 league among the flagbearers of it.
With three successful editions under its belt, the next edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 league has been announced. The Abu Dhabi T10 league will be held from 23rd November to 4th December 2022. The league has been incredibly popular with an impressive impression of 1.4 billion across social media. The video views of the league stand at an astounding 115 million.
The Abu Dhabi T10 League is a culmination of an agreement between Ten Sports Management (TSM), Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), Abu Dhabi Cricket (ADC) and the Department of Culture and Tourism- Abu Dhabi (DCT- Abu Dhabi).
Announcing the dates for this edition, the General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, HE Aref Al Awani said, “Through our partnership with the Abu Dhabi T10, we have further positioned Abu Dhabi as a major sporting global hub and consistently demonstrated the city’s ability to both build, and host, one of cricket’s most entertaining competitions.”
The General Secretary was in high praise of the Abu Dhabi government and said, “This is evidence of the success of a significant strategic objective of the Abu Dhabi government; to create and deliver sporting events that contribute to enhancing the emirate’s leadership in global sports.”
Abu Dhabi cricket CEO Matt Boucher was ecstatic about the “remarkable value of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Speaking of the same he said, “The past three editions of the Abu Dhabi T10 have proven that 10-over cricket has both a thriving market and engaged international audience,” said Abu Dhabi Cricket CEO Matt Boucher. “With the sponsorship value at $279.3 million last year and the league’s economic impact value now standing at $621.2 million, the Abu Dhabi T10 continues to bring remarkable value to all involved – both in Abu Dhabi and overseas.”
