S Sreesanth reacts to Gautam Gambhir’s dismissal during Legends League Cricket 2023 encounter
S Sreesanth has been active on social media since the fight with Gautam Gambhir unfolded.
With each passing second, the continuing feud between Gautam Gambhir, and Sreesanth takes on new turns. The incident began when Gambhir and Sreesanth got into a verbal altercation recently. This happened during the Legends League Cricket match between the Gujarat Giants and the India Capitals. Subsequently, the former bowler alleged in a video broadcast on Instagram that the batsman from Delhi had referred to him as a “fixer”. But, Sreesanth has made another jab at Gambhir, so it doesn’t appear like this issue will be resolved anytime soon.
The Manipal Tigers defeated the Gambhir-led India Capitals in Thursday’s Qualifier 2 match, sending them out of the competition. Gambhir was un-out throughout the match and was dismissed for 10 by Amitoze Singh.
Posting a clip of Gambhir’s run-out, Sreesanth tagged Amitoze in the post to commend him for his outstanding work. He postsed a story saying, “Beautiful Throw”
According to sources who spoke with NDTV earlier in the day, Sreesanth received a legal notice. This was allegedly sent by the Legends League Cricket (LLC) Commissioner regarding his outburst.
“Let the ASCU and Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee handle” : LLC Statement
Sreesanth’s outburst on social media on the on-field altercation was considered a “breach of contract,” according to the legal warning that LLC sent. It is thought that the notification stated that Sreesanth cannot be contacted again unless he takes down all of the recordings he has shared on social media. The notification further said that Gambhir’s use of expletives on the pitch was not reported by the on-field umpires.
A statement from the Legends League Cricket 2023 read that, “Legends League Cricket aims to continue to be focused on the league itself and let the ASCU and Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee handle the internal investigation and subsequent action with respect to the involved individual/s that will be held in violation of the code of conduct for their comments including ones made on social media.”
