Gill has not been in the prime of his form but in India’s last game against the Nepal team in Asia Cup 2023, the prolific opening batter scored 67 runs off just 62 deliveries with eight boundaries and one mighty six. One more major bustling that was noted in the ranking was from Ishan Kishan who made a significant movement forward as the southpaw climbed 12 position to reach No.24 position in the ODI rankings after his dream run which the sensational batter is having off. The star India wicketkeeper batter has scored half-centuries in all of his last four innings.
The prolific wicketkeeper batter played a very essential inning of 82 runs in just 81 deliveries with nine brilliant boundaries along with two gigantic sixes against Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. The Indian team was struggling at one stage with 66/4 on board. Kishan then combined with Hardik Pandya to solidify the Indian innings.
