India entered the ongoing second ODI against West Indies with an idea of experimental. They made the decision to rest players such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the second ODI match in Barbados. Hardik Pandya has been asked to lead the team.

It was interesting to see India introduce the much-contested additions of Sanju Samson and Axar Patel to the team in the second ODI. Prior to the ODI series, the former was a hot topic of debate, with analysts arguing for his inclusion in the team as it should be. The acquisition of Axar Patel makes India’s spin-bowling arsenal appear even more dangerous. The batsmen faced difficulty in the last game at Barbados due to the pitch’s unpredictable bounce.

The weather for the second ODI, however, might be very different because the ground crew was compelled to keep the pitch covered due to significant rain prior to the game. The hitters’ lives can become difficult as a result of the resulting dampness on the pitch. India dominated the first One-Day International at Barbados, defeating the West Indies by five wickets to take a 1-0 series lead.

The visitors put on an outstanding performance, destroying the host team for only 114 runs in just 23 overs, thanks in large part to the spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav. Later in the attack, Kuldeep Yadav was let loose, and he worked his magic, claiming an incredible 4/6 in just three overs. Jadeja saw success as well, recording fantastic numbers of 3/37.

India quickly and accurately responded to the West Indies’ meager total, achieving the target of 115 runs in the 23rd over. Ishan Kishan stole the stage with an electrifying effort with the bat, compiling a magnificent half-century with 52 runs off 46 balls. Notably, Sanju Samson’s followers expressed their outrage on Twitter when he wasn’t included in the starting lineup for the previous ODI. Twitter, on the other hand, erupted when Sanju took his rightful place in the lineup this time.

Let’s look at how Twitter reacted to this team selection;
