Soul Goblin breaks his silence on stream sniping allegation on him during Upthurst Challengers Showdown season 2 event

Published on

Soul Esports are currently playing in the Nodwin x Rooter BGMI Champions Cup and Upthurst Challengers Showdown Season 2. They qualified for the finals of the Upthurst’s event but the first day of the finals didn’t go well for them. While they will be comfortably qualifying for the Nodwin’s event finals.

Meanwhile, SouL Esports’ prominent player, Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal got eliminated earlier than his teammates during the Challengers Showdown event. Goblin was streaming live on the streaming platform ‘LOCO’ and was also sharing his POV (point of view). But following his elimination, he switched to broadcasting the Upthrust Esports stream. This made some viewers wonder if Team SouL had engaged in stream sniping, a dishonest gaming technique.

Basically, stream sniping is a contentious technique where players get an unfair advantage by watching the official broadcast and giving accurate callouts to their teammates. Goblin quickly responded to the rumours on his stream in an effort to clear the allegations. Even if they had been persuaded, he noted that the official feed had a sizable latency, making any attempts at stream sniping pointless.

Will Goblin get his form back?

Goblin also admitted that he had a second screen in his streaming setup, which theoretically could have been utilised to sneak in some stream sniping on his primary feed. Goblin also said that he will never take part in such unsportsmanlike conduct. Instead, he clarified that he did so in order to hide the POVs of his fellow Team SouL players by switching to the official stream following his elimination.

When we talk about the assaulter, Goblin’s name will always be taken as he is one of the most lethal players the game has ever produced. Goblin was the MVP (Most Valuable Player) in the last official event of BGMI, Battlegrounds India Moble Pro Series (BMPS). However, he is not at his best as of now but will surely make a remarkable comeback in the esports scenario. It won’t be wrong to say that Soul Esports has one of the biggest fanbases in the Indian Gaming community and Goblin must be wanting to entertain the fans for sure.
