‘RCB ne DC ka Vada curry bana diya’ – Fans celebrate as Royal Challengers Bangalore brushed aside Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals’ losing run in the ongoing IPL 2023 continued against RCB.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals locked horns in the 20th game of the ongoing IPL 2023 in Bengaluru. The home team was playing their first game after the Lucknow Super Giants’ encounter on April 10 which they lost. On the other hand, the Capitals were looking for their first win of the tournament, having lost four games in the tournament.
Meanwhile, in this game, the visitors won the toss and elected to bowl first on a wicket that had something for bowlers. However, the Royal Challengers had a great start as their opening combination, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis put together 42 runs for the first wicket. The partnership ended with a spectacular catch by Aman Khan at midwicket in the fifth over, resulting in the wicket of Du Plessis.
On the other hand, Kohli went on to score another fifty in the tournament, not taking his foot off the accelerator this time around. His innings ended with him mistiming a full toss to deep midwicket of Lalit Yadav. Glenn Maxwell (24) played a good cameo but in the 14th and 15th overs, the team lost three quick wickets for no runs helping Delhi make a comeback.
In the end, the three-time finalists amassed 174/6, with Shahbaz Ahmed (20*) playing a nice cameo.
Delhi Capitals continues to remain winless in the ongoing IPL 2023
In reply, the 2020 finalists had a poor start as they lost four wickets for 30 runs in the powerplay, including their highest run-getter and skipper David Warner. This wasn’t the end to their nightmarish game as they lost the wicket of Axar Patel, one of their in-form batters in the 13th over.
Meanwhile, former RCB player, Manish Pandey scored a fifty before getting out to Wanindu Hasaranga, who is playing his first game this season. Despite this, it was once again a forgetful game of the ongoing 16th season. In the end, they were restricted to 1519, losing the game by 23 runs.

Just get off the plane to see that #DC have struggled again. Good result for #RCB as they move mid-table. Have backed them to qualify. Vijaykumar Vyshak impressive?
