Watch: Virat Kohli’s classy gesture wins hearts, urges fans not to cheer for Bangalore
India’s star batter Virat Kohli is already an inspiration for millions not only because of his batting but also his personality with great ethics, determination, and his love for his country. In the second Test against Australia in Delhi, Kohli again showed why he is considered one of the great personalities. During the game, he asked the fans to cheer for India when they were showing support for his Indian T20 League franchise.
Kohli was fielding inside the circle while Australia were batting. He heard ‘Bangalore, Bangalore…’ chants from the crowd. The Indian batter then pointed towards his jersey asked the fans to cheer for India instead.

In the Delhi Test against Australia, the 34-year-old achieved another milestone by becoming the fastest batter to cross 25,000 international runs across formats. Kohli took 549 innings to achieve this feat. He surpassed the cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved the milestone in 577 innings.
Kohli has now a total of 25,012 runs in international cricket with 74 centuries across all formats. He has appeared in 106 Tests, 271 ODIs, and 115 T20Is with an average of above 50 in white-ball cricket and an average of 48.49 in Tests.
Talking about the Test series, India took the lead of 2-0 after defeating Australia by 6 wickets in Delhi. Australia were bundled out for 113 runs in their second innings losing the last 9 wickets for 48 runs. India chased the total of 115 runs with 6 wickets in hand to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth consecutive time.
