The Pakistan team faced an embracing defeat at the hands of England in their ongoing Test series. The team led by Ben Stokes has revolutionised how the longest format of the game is played. Their attacking approach, commonly known as “Bazball”, helped them win the first two matches to claim the series.

The Pakistani team captain Babar Azam has taken a lot of heat for the team’s timid performance in the first two games following their defeat. Now, Babar has hit back at his critics with a tweet following the embarrassing defeat. “Do not let compliments go to your head and criticism to your heart,” he wrote in the tweet.

However, the team skipper has faced a lot of backlash after his tweet. Fans opined that this post should have come if the team was able to make a comeback. “Perform and Win matches for pakistan . We dont want to see your cover drive for the sake of few players to praise your cover drive. Play match winning knocks and proof us wrong . People chanting zimbabar so go and play match winning inning against Australia , thats it for now,” an angry fan wrote.

Toh aap keh rahe hain Test chhor de?: Babar Azam

Azam was previously stumped by a reporter’s question at a press conference after the second game, which implied that he and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan should focus on T20s. The media representative was then answered appropriately by Babar, who gave a succinct and direct response.

“Babar yeh fans k taraf se ek sawal hai, unka kehna tha Babar aur Rizwan jo hain, unko apna focus T20 pe karna chahiye, kyuki jaise woh out hote hain puri team down ho jati hain (This question is from the fans, who feel that Babar and Rizwan should focus in T20s. As they get out the rest of the team crumbles),” said the reporter.

Babar then interrupted the reporter and asked, “Toh aap keh rahe hain Test chhor de? (So you are saying, we should stop playing Test?)”

“Aap kya soch rahe hain is baare mein, T20 mein jaana chahiye (What are your thoughts on it, should you play only T20?)” continued the reporter. “Sir, aisa kuch nahi soch rahe hum (Sir I’m not thinking anything like that),” responded Babar.
