In the 15th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Lucknow Super Giants beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last ball thriller. Riding on Nicholas Pooran‘s amazing half-century, LSG beat RCB by 1 wicket on the last ball after a dramatic finish to the game. Notably, while chasing 212, LSG needed five runs off the last over to win the game with three wickets in hand. Harshal Patel picked two wickets on the first five balls after giving four runs and on the last ball, LSG required one run off a ball. However, a fumble from wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik helped LSG to secure one of the most thrilling victories.
IPL fines Faf du Plessis for slow overrate
For the first time in the Indian Premier League 2023, a captain has been fined for slow over-rate. After their humiliating defeat in the last over, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis has been fined for slow over-rate. IPL has fined him 12 Laksh and a warning has been issued.
With this victory, LSG is now the new table toppers of the tournament as they have three wins out of four games and have six points. On Tuesday, Mumbai Indians will take on Delhi Capitals in the 16th match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
