The movie, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam, had a solid debut on day one of domestic distribution. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie made over 9 crore rupees on Friday.
In the movie, Pankaj Tripathi’s character battles the educational system in court to get his son justice. He portrays the part of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout worshipper of Lord Shiva. Akshay Kumar is revered as a divine messenger while Yami Gautam plays the role of a lawyer in the movie.
OMG 2 attempts to break social barriers on Sex Education
Pankaj recently stated to the news agency PTI, “The film is enjoyable and towards the end it offers you a social message, and it is a message that is crucial. Teenage difficulties are central to it, and sex education is discussed at the end. We are aware that society will neither advance nor transform as a result of the film. But at the same time, the movie logically upholds values and belief systems.”
Additionally, he stated, “Yami is from Himachal Pradesh and I’m from North Bihar. We have a solid cultural, social, and spiritual foundation. We are conscious of the effect the film—whether it’s a social drama or a thriller—will have on the audience because of our context. Since we have experienced both urban and rural life up close, as actors, we are constantly conscious.”
When it comes to having a discourse about physical intimacy with their children, Indian parents and their kids struggle to communicate with one another. OMG 2 tries really hard to close that communication gap. The progressive outlook that the movie attempts to convey through its characters effectively reaches us, and with some perceptive lines, it makes an impression that lasts. It is also appreciated that Rai didn’t include too many subplots and kept his attention on emphasising the value of sex education. OMG 2 belongs to Pankaj Tripathi, aside from the storyline, and he carries the movie on his shoulders with ease.
