Ajman T20 Cup 2022: Day Four Round Up

March 16 was the third consecutive day of the doubleheaders in the inaugural Ajman T20 Cup. The first game of the doubleheader was played between Northern Warriors and Delhi Bulls. Warriors entered the game after losing to Bangla Tigers in their opening game. On the other hand, the Bulls had beaten Maratha Arabians to start their campaign. Talking about the game between Warriors and Bulls, the former won the toss and chose to bat first.

The decision proved to be costly for the Warriors as they were all-out for a meager total of 71 in 19.3 overs. No batter could cross the 20-runs mark with Mohammad Azhar taking five wickets for the Bulls. Apart from Azhar, Zahid Ali-2, Zubair Zuhaib took two wickets each and Qamar Awan took one. In reply, the Bulls hunted down the total in just 5.5 overs, thanks to Zawar Farid (26) and Muhammad Usman (31*).

Talking about the second game, Maratha Arabians and Bangla Tigers faced each other. Arabians came into the game after losing their opening game to the Bulls. On the other hand, Bangla Tigers had beaten the Warriors in their first game. Coming back to the Arabians vs Tigers game, the former won the toss and elected to bat first. However, they were restricted to 105/8.

Only Sagar Kalyan (30) and Ameer Hamza (34) could touch the 30-run mark. For Tigers, Saqib Manshad took four wickets while Omer Farooq took two and Harry Bharwal took one wicket. In reply, the Tigers plundered the target in just 11.3 overs, thanks to Usman Khan (38*) and Tanveer Junaid (32*) .
