India took on West Indies in the fourth T20I in the United States of America. West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first and give a big total to the Indian batters. Shai Hope, who was playing in his first match of the series, kept the entire innings alive through a 29-ball 45 after Mayers got them started to a little bit of a flyer.

However, Shimron Hetmyer’s 39-ball 61 was the deciding factor in the first innings. The left-handed batter was aggressive, targeting Axar Patel as well as the pacers despite being cautious of both of the specialist spinners because of his lack of runs and form heading into the game.

After three consecutive single-digit scores, Gill recorded a fifty, while Jaiswal raised his first T20I fifty during the same over.  When Gill blasted out to deep mid-wicket, the 165-run opening partnership finally came to an end, but it was far too late for the Windies.

India, in the end, won the game convincingly with around three overs to spare. The series is poised with one game to go and it can be anyone’s game but both teams will give it their all to clinch the series in the last match at the same venue.
