Within a year of its launch, Battlegrounds Mobile India, also known as BGMI, amassed a sizable fan base. The community has heard many rumours about the title’s potential return since it was removed, but since the start of the new year, things are moving in the right direction. Fans anticipate similar events to occur in the Indian version of the game as well as the Global counterpart, whose 2.4 Update is just days away.

The brief events that the developers and a number of leaks introduced to signal the change of cycle refer to the release of a new version or some other type of change. As the community gets closer to the 2.4 Update, the buzz around the new version will intensify. Therefore, the new version will be crucial in determining whether or not the game will be added back to the Play Store.

Several stakeholders have made brash statements about when the ban will be lifted. Several others have refrained from mentioning dates. The community has also taken notice of a random user who claimed the title would return on January 15. But as of right now, nothing has happened. Players must therefore wait at least until the following update.

The game cannot receive official updates because the Indian government has outlawed it. However, Krafton recently disclosed that they are in active discussions with the relevant authorities to lift the gaming title’s ban as soon as possible. This suggests that users of BGMI may soon be able to download and play the most recent updates.

What was mentioned in the report is as follows: “KRAFTON is continuing its efforts to resume services for BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) and will continue investing in the Indian games market.”
