ACC Women’s T20 Championship: Semi Final- Preview, Probable XIs, Pitch Report, Match Details, and Updates

After an exciting week of matches, the ACC Women’s T20 League has finally moved to the Semi-Final stage. Four teams, UAE Women, Nepal Women, Hong Kong Women and the hosts Malaysia Women have come out as the best four teams of the tournament.

All sights are now set on the semi-finals that are going to be held on 24th June 2022. Let’s look at all the details about the two semi-finals.

1st Semi-final: UAE Women vs Nepal Women

The group A toppers, UAE are going head-to-head with second-placed Nepal from group B in the first semi-final of the ACC Women’s T20 Championship. UAE are one of only two teams to not lose any of their games in the tournament. They also have a far superior net run rate of +5.713 which points to their dominance throughout the group stage. With a record-breaking score of 214/1 in their last game, they have induced fear in their opponents and would be looking to go all the way in the tournament.

Nepal Women, on the other hand, lost one to the group toppers Hong Kong in their last game and would be cautious coming into the semi-final.

2nd Semi-final: Hong Kong vs Malaysia Women

The second semi-final pits the group B toppers Hong Kong against second-placed Malaysia from group A. Hong Kong team has amassed the most number of points (8) in the tournament, being the only team to win all of their games. Malaysia, on the other hand, lost one game to UAE and have six points. Hong Kong team have played better in the tournament so far but Malaysia would have the home support which does wonders in knockout games.
