The reverse fixture between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings has ended with both teams getting a point each. Ahead of the game, both teams had 10 points each to their name. Also, they were coming off losses in their respective previous games. Meanwhile, in the game, CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first. After all, it had rained ahead of the game.

This was the reason the game started 20 minutes late. However, the Yellow Brigade bowlers were in the game for the first few overs. They picked five wickets for 44 runs on a turning wicket. At this stage, the likes of Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran put together 59 for the sixth wicket. The latter got out trying to play over the covers in the 18th over against Matheesha Pathirana.

On the other hand, Badoni scored 59 off 33 balls including two fours and four sixes. This was an extraordinary knock given the kind of wicket he was batting on. Meanwhile, his innings helped the team reach 125/7 in 19.2 overs. At this point, it started pelting down in the game. For the most part of the second innings timer, it looked like the target will be adjusted as per DLS.

However, the game was called out around half an hour before the cut-off time.
