‘Aaja bhai tu ab mazak nhi ho raha hai’ – Fans react as Rishabh Pant shares an update on his recovery ahead of World Cup 2023
Last year, Rishabh Pant endured a harrowing car accident during a trip from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his mother. However, the talented Indian wicketkeeper-batsman has shown remarkable progress in his recovery. Recently, Pant took to his Instagram account to share a video showcasing his progress. In the video, he was seen confidently climbing stairs without the aid of a walking stick, a testament to his rapid improvement.
Additionally, Pant shared a story on Instagram where he was seen engaging in stretching exercises with the support of a stick at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. It’s worth noting that, Pant has started rehabbing during IPL as he underwent various surgeries. He withdrew from the World Test Championship finals and Indian Premier League 2023 citing injuries.
Rishabh Pant has been phenomenal throughout his career, especially in Test cricket. In the recently concluded Test Championship cycle 2021-23 Pant is third highest run scorer for the Indian team. He has been phenomenal with the bat and has contributed amazingly to India’s historic Australia tour in 2021.
“Delhi Capitals missed Rishabh Pant”, says Ricky Ponting
In the absence of their full-time skipper Rishabh Pant, Delhi Capitals appointed David Warner to lead the team. Despite his performance with the bat Warner failed to win games for DC. The team finished ninth in the points table losing a wooden spoon to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Notably, in the recent World Test Championship finals former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting said that there are two teams that missed Pant in the last two months. Notably, Pant is set to be out of cricket for the next nine months. It will be a miracle if he starts practising in the nets before IPL 2024. Fans and cricket pundits expect him to get fully fit and don’t hurry before making a comeback.
Here is how fans react to Rishabh Pant’s video:
Take time & get fit completely :). N then think about return to the setup. We miss u. However your health is the first priority. So take ur Time n stay fir :). Best wishes
