Despite being massively different, cricket and football do draw parallels to each other in many terms. Footballers and cricketers are often seen praising each other on social media and show great respect as well. This got us thinking about cricketers and their footballer counterparts. We have come up with eight cricketers and a similar footballer to each.

Let’s look at eight active cricketers and their footballing equivalents.

Both of them are the most popular athletes in their respective sports. Both Virat Kohli and Ronaldo construct their game around intense physicality and both are dropping off in their career.

Although there is no one similar to Messi in cricket, if there has to be one, it should be Smith. Both of these players create magic when at their peak. Messi is known to bring out admiration from even his harshest critics. An in-form Smith betting in Test matches is also a sight to behold.
