'50 rupiya kaat overacting ka' - Fans react as Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill recreate famous 'Roadies Nikhil Chinapa' scene

India won the third T20I against New Zealand on February 1, Wednesday, on the back of a stupendous century from youngster Shubman Gill, who went on to bag the highest individual score in the format from Virat Kohli with his unbeaten 126. While Ishan Kishan failed in the series with an average of just 8, it was the right-handed batter who attracted the fans with his elegance.

That being said, the Indian team are toiling hard in the nets ahead of the Tests vs Australia and the duo joined hands with Yuzvendra Chahal, the star spinner, to recreate the ‘Roadies Nikhil Chinapa’ scene. The video went viral on the internet with fans having a banter among themselves, claiming that it was unwanted ahead of a big series while a few hit back saying that the cricketers deserve a break time.

I  am a huge fan of his: Irfan Pathan

Ahead of the series against Australia, former Indian allrounder Irfan Pathan opened up on Gill and claimed to be a big fan of the young Indian batter. Further, the left-armer compared him to Kohli and said that the right-handed batter has all it takes to reach such stature in the near future and at the earliest.

“The way he (Shubman) is batting, I am a huge fan of his. I am repeatedly saying that he can become an all-format player for you. Virat Kohli ruled all formats for many years; this batter has as much potential. To convert that into performance is a different thing,” Pathan was quoted as saying to Star Sports.

It was not until his century, Gill was considered to be an all-format batter although he was included in the T20Is against Sri Lanka for the first time and was asked to carry on in the series against the Black Caps as well. However, Gill’s century in the final clash on Wednesday changed things up and one could predict that he might become the best all-format batter for the next decade.

Here’s how fans have reacted to the video featuring Shubman Gill, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ishan Kishan:
