In advance of the mini-auction that is set for next month, the IPL teams released the final retention lists on Sunday. Eleven players were released by the RCB, including Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, and Wanindu Hasaranga. All three were previous big money buys and the franchise might hope to buy them back at a less price.

With 19 players on their roster, the franchise plans to use the INR 23.25 crore salary cap that is still available in the next mini-auction. Let’s see who players they could pursue to finish their roster before the eagerly anticipated tournament gets underway.

5 Players RCB might target in IPL 2024 Mini Auction

1) Mitchell Starc

The Australian speedster has declared that he would sign up in the IPL 2024 auction. With the knack to make new balls move and deliver yorkers during death overs, he is somebody RCB can target. Starc will be an expensive choice, however RCB might just be able to fund him because they still have some  cash on hand.

2) Kartik Tyagi

Kartik Tyagi, who was praised for his quick bowling, wasn’t given enough chances in the Sunrisers’ camp shortly after transferring from the Rajasthan Royals. The RCB wants to add the talented seamer to their powerful pace battery. He would be a solid option in addition to Mohammed Siraj and Reece Topley.

3) Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey, is one of the sole experienced Indian batter that might be available in the IPL Auctions. He is not the same old Pandey though but an Indian batter in the squad can be useful for any franchise. He might also get into the XI on pitches that turn since he is considered to be one of the great players of spin.

4) Gerald Coetzee

Gerald Coetzee is very energetic and has a clear intention in his run-up. In every game he has participated in thus far, he has contributed by taking wickets in the middle overs. He is going to be one of the main participants in the IPL auction and will be attentively observed. He can be the death bowler that RCB have been desiring for years now.

5) Rachin Ravindra

RCB, who love all-rounders, are a perfect fit for Ravindra. They could even consider starting him so they can benefit from his quick scoring. Rachin Ravindra may be the solution for their overall batting issues. He can be a stable opener even if they already have a strong opening partnership in Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. This would also allow Kohli to bat at his suitable position of number 3.
