20-20 World Cup 2022: Prize Money, Tickets, Broadcasting and Live Streaming Details

The 20-20 World Cup 2022 is already underway with eight teams playing for four spots of the Super 12 round. Currently, the fight for the Super 12 spots and the fans have been enjoying the fight. However, it is important to note that eight more teams will play in the tournament. These teams have been seeded directly in the Super 12 thanks to their rankings and their performance in the 2021 edition.

The second round will begin on October 22 with the game between defending champions Australia and last year’s finalist, New Zealand. However, the most anticipated encounter will be played between India and Pakistan. The game will be played on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Meanwhile, here we will discuss the important details regarding the tournament, such as prize money, tickets, live stream etc.

20-20 World Cup 2022: Prize Money

As per the World Cricket Governing Council, the title winners will receive prize money of $1.6 million. On the other hand, the runners-up will receive half the amount. The losing semi-finalist will get $4,00,000 each from the total prize pool. Besides, the eight teams who exit at the Super 12 stage will receive prize money of $70,000 each. For each win in the tournament, the teams will win prize money worth $40,000. The four teams which will be knocked out in the first round will receive $40,000 each.

The sale of the match tickets started way back on February 7 this year. The The match tickets for the India-Pakistan game were sold instantly. On the other hand,  fans can book the tickets only on the Cricket Governing Body’s official website. 20-20 World Cup 2022: Broadcast and Live Stream details

In India, Star Sports will broadcast all the matches of the 20-20 World Cup, while the live streaming will be available on Disney+Hotstar app. In the United States of America, the fan can watch the games on live on Willow TV and Sling TV, while the Sky Sports has bought the broadcasting right in UK. Fox Sports will present the matches in Australia. The fans can also stream it live on Foxtel and Kayo.
